 dash pad cap
I am installing one right now on a 65 galaxie. I am installing the long pad first and then the pod. I have a convertible and have the luxury of having the windshield out, because it was cracked, and all the trim removed. I was told by someone who has installed these to use liquid nails instead of the silicone. He said that the silicone gets to hot on the dash and can loosen. The pod is going to need some trimming along with the cap in order to get a good fit. I am using a x-acto knife to trim around defroster vents and screw holders. hope this helps |
