Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum... i just picked up my 1986 F150 yesterday and i need some help. it's a 300 straight six four speed manual. the engine runs fine but the guy who sold me the truck said i should replace the carb on the truck (he said either the floater sticks or the throttle cable won't tell the floater to open and it makes a screeching sound when i drive it for the first mile or so and then it goes away)... i know dave above said he put a four barrell carb instead of the factory one barrell.... i would like some advise on which carb i should put on my truck and where can a get it for a decent price.. |
