Default 2007? brakes on a 2004 Expy? Brake upgrade from newer expy?

Hello,
I have a 2004 XLT with 30K miles and the rear rotors are pretty torn up even though the pads are still in really good shape? Weird. Anyway I do pull a bigger atv trailer with 4-7 atv's at a time when we go out. I know that it is only about 2-3000 pounds and I do use the trailer brakes but maybe that is the cause. Anyway, I was reading that the newer expy's have a bigger master, calipers and thicker rotors. Does anyone know if our older Expy's can be retro fitted? Like bolt on or somehting? I was hoping since they say it has thicker rotors but not larger rotors that everything might bolt up to the previous year models? What do you think? I mean, other than a stiffer frame, a rear end redesign, some interior pieces, and some body cladding, they are pretty much the same trucks, right?

Let me preface all this by saying that I bought this truck as a stolen/recovered unit that was empty on the inside and was missing some exterior and engine components too. So I bought a same year roll over and installed all the parts from it. I even installed power 3rd row in the XLT. Talk about a pain. But I installed the right wires in the oem wire looms and all. Even if Ford took it apart they wouldn't be able to tell that they didn't install it at the factory. So I am familiar with buying junk yard parts or salvage vehicles or whatever and doing swaps, just so you know.

Thanks,
Chad
