Default new to the Galaxie arena

Hi,

I have just purchased my first galaxie. 65 Galaxie 500 LTD 390 hipo AT.

I have a holley that I belive to be a 600 or 650 which is in need of a rebuild and a serious tuning. I think this is to little carb on this motor. It is supposed to be the 335 hp but I have not yet confirmed this. Any comments on a suggested carb?

It also has a set of Keystone wheels 15x7 (YUK). I am thinking of putting on a set of the Mustang wheels 17" the ones that look similar to the Torq Thrust Ds . Has anyone tried this and will the larger wheels create clearance problems.

I am looking for a set of tubular headers for this app. and am having trouble finding something that will not break the bank.

I am a mustang and ford truck owner and big time Ford fan. This is my first trip into the Galaxies.

I bought the car about a week ago and left it at the previous owners garage until I could get the Tag and Insurance straightened out. I picked it up yesterday and drove straight to the carwash about two miles from the previous owners house where I had 2 offers to buy it will I was cleaning her up.

I read thru several post before becoming a member and am now glad to be a part of your community.

Thanks
Trey Turner
