Default 95 Probe 24V MODS

i just bought a 95 probe and i was thinking of performance before looks (eg. bodykit)

and i was wondering with such a compact engine could a i fit a pod filter into it or would it be to close to the engine? not sure

anyway what mods can i put into the car i was thinking stainless steel exhaush to begin with (not sure what size tho) and a few other things any info or help on how to highly increase performance minus a turbo for now would be great cheerss
