You should try to check the fuel pump. is it an electric in-tank pump, or is a mechanical pump? if it's mechanical then you may need to change it. Check the choke to. Is it an automatic choke? If so you may want to either change the selenoid or put in a manual choke. (manual choke is easier to install. You have to pay attention to the way the engine sounds when it's cold with a manual choke tho. can be a pain if your in a hurry)
