teamdarkstyle Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Posts: 9	97 escort doent like to start sometime my 97 escort lx wont start some time.the coil pack is working, and the starter is trying to turn it over. but when it does start it runs fine. i have noticed then when i turn the car off it kinda smells like gas. and when i turn the key no but not start it i hear a hummimg noise, that i think is the fuel pump. the guy i got the car from replace the fuel pump right before i got the car. i need help i dont know what to do or look for
