 Need help locating DPFE
My son who does not live with me has a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 4.0L. It recently started throwing code P0401. Research has showed this code is 90% of the time a faulty stock DPFE. As he is on a limited budget, I wanted to get the part and install it for him. He is not mechanically inclined and knows nothing about cars. As the vehicle is not with me right now, I want to be sure to purchase the correct part and know exactly where it is on the vehicle so that I can change it for him quickly when he comes from out of town this weekend.
Does anybody happen to have a picture of the part, preferably a picture of the part on the engine, or even a diagram? Again, as this is not my personal vehicle, I don't have a service manual or access to one.
