I found it, and fixed it! Thanks, car53 for the information. I did, however, manage to find it and fix it several days ago. It was indeed that cooling tube. I got fooled about the location of the leak when I was initially looking for it because it was spraying coolant on the firewall on the drivers side, when the leaking tube is actually more on the passenger side. This was my first repair on a 4.6L, so I didn't even know that the tube existed. It is a dealer only item, around $40. I think Ford didn't start using the plastic intake on those cars until the '95 models. Mine is aluminum. Removing the w/w wiper motor assembly helped with this job, as it's difficult to get to some of the connections on the back of the intake manifold, and it gave me a chance to really clean it up in there. It was amazing how much organic material had accumulated around the wiper motor. Again, thanks to all who responded. |
