Bought the 2008 Escape V6 xlt 4wd and has the same problem. Ford and the dealer refuse to refund the purchase price. On the 3rd attempt on my vehicle they made it worst. Currently waiting on the state to accept my lemon law complaint. Ford is trying to say its a normal feature on the vehicle. No vehicle I have ever driven has this design flaw. Ford won't admit to the flaw because they would have to spend millions in refunds since they can't fix it. |
