there is a clip on the handle you got to pop off the clip
easy way with out the tool is use a shop rag slide it down between the handle and panel and push hard with the rag and the clip will pop off
look first where the clip is its a horseshoe shape like a paper clip
get the curl end facing up when you put the rag in between
and watch where the clip falls on the ground ,use a bucket or can under the door to catch it
