Unhappy Horn sounds like a Toyota.

Help!. My Explorer's horn sounds like a Toyota. The horn used to work just fine, but suddenly is sounding quite ill. As far as I can see and hear the actual horns are located somewhere in the fenders? Not maintenance friendly of course, anyone have some suggestions as to what is wrong and how to fix?
Also it makes the same noise when locking the doors, that lame beep.
