95 Bronco Ignition Cylinder - Need Help Hello ! I hope I am posting in the correct section ... if not, please forgive me and direct me to the correct section.
We've had a 95 Bronco for a few months. When we purchased it (used from a dealer) the ignition would operate with or without the key.
Today, when the key was removed, it would not shut off. We d/c the coil wire to stop it from running and d/c the battery to prevent drain.
How hard is it to replace the ignition coil ? I have read on several different sites that you can just remove the ignition trim and pop a button and remove/replace the cylinder. Probably a little more complicated, but I just wanted to get some input here.
Do you think it is the ignition cylinder that needs to be replaced ? If so, can you give me some tips/directions on replacing it ?
Any help is greatly appreciated, as we have the worst luck and things at our house always tear up on the weekends when any type of repair facility is closed. |
