 junking our 99 windstar, final straw tranmission gone
We purchased a used 99 windstar with just over 87,000 miles last fall. Have had several issues with it, it ran great when we test drove it and previous owner had had no problems.
After the 90.000 mark transmission started acting funny and o/d light and check engine light were always on.
Final straw is the tranmission went out last week, repairing it is more than the van is worth. Powersteering is acting funny too and there is a issue with the lights flashing and coming on at strange times. Door ajar light is on most of the time and power locks have a mind of their own.
Have driven many fords but this one has been the worst, will never buy another ford product again.
Decided to sell it to a salvage yard, would rather see it smashed and ground up into tiny pieces, never to haunt anybody else. |
