theres no point in souping up a escort with a 1.9 origanal motor unless u turbo it like i said i did high compression pistoins decked the block and the head 3.8thunderbird throttle body ,19lb focus injectors ,headers full custom intake , accel coilpack ,here look at this this is my old motor yes it was kinda quick but the fact that some hondas could still beat me was a discrace so i went with the escort gt motor it had 40 hp more bone stock and the dohc motors have way more hp and top end the sohc motors are all about torque.
i spent probably 3000$ dollars on 25 hp upgrades i spent 800 dollars on a motor swap and now im almost at 145 .and i have not even put on my headers yet .
