Have your charging system checked out. Battery, alternator and wires. All gas engines need electricity, if there is not enough at idle it will die. Especially if your foot is on the brake and the lights draw down the juice. If that is not the problem check the o2 sensor and vacuum tubing. There are numerous things that can cause it to die like that mostly electrical. Fords are notorious for electrical problems.
