Sadly, the more popular a model is, the cheaper the parts, more aftermarket support. You want to be original, you gotta pay more. Hell, until a few years ago, it cost twice as much to mod a 5.0 than a 350 chev. We finally caught up when the aftermarket realized the 5.0 can handle crazy revs if you throw the right parts at it. Nuff said
