Hey, I posted my own problem with a PO171 a few posts ago and wanted to jump in here.

My husband replaced one O2 sensor, disconnected and reconnected some air/heat hoses under the dash and our van runs fine with the exception of the CEL still on, showing that "system too lean" code. It no longer showed the PO 140 code, though. Are you saying we should have replaced both sensors? AutoZone told us one and sold us one; they made no mention of doing it as a pair, even after we brought it back with the CEL still on. I saw someone else here mentioned the intake manifold (which is what the last garage that worked on the van told us it needed to make it stop idling rough, but then they made no mention of replacing any sensor, which cost us all of $61 and solved the idling problem completely.). I know those cost a lot. I'm looking for the fast, inexpensive way to get rid of this last annoying code for once and for all.
