The relay I'm referring to is in the engine compartment fuse panel. It is referred to on the schematic as the Starter Interrupt Relay. There is no issue with grounds, spark, or anything relating to the van actually running, the problem lies in th fact that it will not turn over from the ignition switch. I can jump (bypass) that relay, and the starter spins and turns the engine. I'm trying to figure out why that doesn't happen using the key. I've done all of the basic checks on the ignition switch itself, putting the trans in neutral, jiggling the shifter, etc. There hasn't been any flakiness in the switch itself, and it turns smoothly, so I don't suspect that being the issue. I've inspected the engine compartment wiring as best I can from above and below and don't see any obvious fraying or damage. I've checked every other fuse in the vehicle. I suspected the transmission position sensor untill I read about the PATS. I do get the flashing "theft" light after attempting to start the vehicle. I guess I just need information on testing thea system. I am going to put a OBD2 reader on it tonight, and hopefully I can determine for sure if it is the PATS or not. Does anyone know what kind of codes I need to look for?
Thanks again,
