Default 2000 windstar tranny

2000 Windstar with 103K miles. Trans works great. No slip, shifts smooth when fluid is full, fluid is clean with no burnt odor. Short hops around town, everything is fine. No leaks and fluid level stays at full. If I drive on the highway or pull a heavy load it will leak out about a quart of fluid and start to bump into gear. The problem has been tolerable for the last year, but now it has become more frequent. I've been underneath and wiped everything dry and checked all bolts. Everything is tight. The leak appears to be coming from the front seal. I have tried sealer, but it hasn't helped. I'm guessing its time to replace the front seal and will require pulling the engine. What's an average cost to get this done? Thanks
