 Probe GT ABS problem
Hello Ford probe Community. I am a new Probe GT owner and new to this site.
I recently began shopping for my daughter a good used car. I was impressed with the quality and drivability of the Ford Probes that I test drove. I purchased a low mileage (62,000) 1994 GT with the V6 and 5 speed.
Everything is wonderful however when it is driven for the first time of the day, the ABS will activate when you hit the brakes the first few times. The pedal will modulate and the ABS pump will run. Some times the 'anti lock' light will come on but goes out after a few re-starts. After the first 5 minutes the brakes are completely normal.
Has anyone heard of this problem? We had new tires put on and that helped but the problem persists. Any ideas?
