Default ABS troubles

got the van back from ford, they fixed the VSS and the van is running and shifting as it should, and the speedo is fully functional again...no drop-outs.

however, my ABS light has been on since march. i know i need a new wheel speed sensor on the drivers side rear wheel, but i'm not going to change it out because i'm getting rid of the windstar next week

my problem now is that the ABS kicks in during about the last 3-5 miles per hour before i come to a complete stop. it's real annoying and i wanted to disable the ABS for the next week i'll be driving this thing.

what i did was just unplug the wiring harness going to the module on the master cylinder. what i want to know is whether or not this is safe? any ABS-related fuses that i pulled also affected other power accessories (like the windows) that i still want to be able to use.

i'm not looking for a fix for the ABS light here, just want to make sure my way of disabling the ABS isn't going to cause me to rear-end another car at 50 miles per hour. any thoughts?
