10' is tiny. You should be fine towing that!
I'd look for another quote on the hitch install though. $350 seems crazy high to me! You could save at least $150 doing it yourself... Most hitches come with hardware, and just bolt right on. There's usually no drilling involved, as the manufacturer already has already put the holes in the frame for the hitch. Sometimes, they even put nut-plates in ahead of time. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say installing a hitch is somewhere around a 3 or 4.
If you have any mechanical ability at all, I'm sure you could do it. On the other hand - if you're wealthy enough to pay someone else, and don't really care about spending money, then go for it. I guess I'd just rather spend the extra money on something else... like a really nice campsite. :-)
