Unhappy '03 Transmission issues, need some help!

I have an '03 focus se that has 80k on it. It has been giving us issues intermittently with shifting. it only does it when it seem like it wants to act up. It will do it between 2nd and 3rd mostly. I have had it into the shop and they were unable to find anything wrong with it. They did a service on it and it helped it but now it is doing it again. They had it all pulled apart and even commented that it was spotless, fluid was clean and not a speck of anything but fluid in the pan.

I then replaced the TPS sensor and it stopped acting up for maybe a week or two, but has not rectified the issue completely, and to the point where the dash light has had to come on again. When you stop and shut it down the light goes back off. I plan to take it back to my mechanic and am hoping some of you have had this issue and I want to know what worked so I can help him to pinpoint the issue. Apparently it does not want to be obvious! It is my best friends father's shop and he is really the only one I trust, plus without a warranty anymore, he's the only one I can afford So I have no other choice but to take it there and really want to get this fixed! I take the interstate daily and swear this glitch has about had me run over more then a few times getting on the on ramp....
