Default tweeter mounting and more

So you know, I do a bit of work in the car audio buisness and have a 92 tempo as well, so I would like to help if I can.

First off, what kind of components do you have?

There isn't really a great spot to put tweeters in this car. I currently have mine just below and to the front of the factory woofer spot, behind the factory grill. It would be more ideal to cut a hole just above the factory grill and mount it there, or I'm hoping to put it where my factory rear-view mirror controls are, and move it down with the power door locks.

The woofer should go in the factory location in the door, but be careful. I installed Alpine X-type 6.5" there, and found that it prevented the window from going down completely. I then used the factory mounting plates and all was well. Several months later I removed my door panel again and found cracks in the woofers surround. With them raised up, they were rubbing against the door panel. I'm going to have to find some way to mount them outside the door panel.

Hope this helps you out a bit, be sure to post progress and any other questions.
