Check out Jegs or Summit. They offer a McLeod adapter (about $330 I think). The adapter as I understand it lets you bolt the GM t56 to your Ford bellhousing. You will likely need to have the LS1 input shaft installed in the t56 as it will have the LT1 input and they are different lengths. Then you can use your flywheel and pressure plate with a GM clutch disc. I agree that using a hydralic throw-out may simplify that part of the conversion. Also, you may want to consider using the t-bird turbo coupe pedals as I think those t-birds use hydralic T.O. system.....even then still requires a little adapting....... |
