 2000 expedition stalls when i drive
Anyone have a clue about this? I get up in the morning to go to work the truck starts great and i drive about 30-40 miles and all of a sudden it stalls and you have to pull over and wait (it is about 10 min. and it starts right back up, if any ealier it may fire after 5 min. but will soon die it needs 10 and if you try to start it right when it stalls it just turns over and never starts you have to wait). Will do this through out the day after driving but ounce it happens you get more like 20 miles after waiting 10 min. and it will happen again. Weather seems to be no issue. I have had it to the shop twice and it is fine to them and they let it idle for 6 hours and it idled fine so you must have to be driving it. The fuel filter and oil has been changed still does it. Driving around town is fine. Any suggestions? Has been doing this for over a month. Mechanic thinks possibly the computer gets hot but doesnt know becuase he hasnt had it happen |
