My dad had a '69 Galaxy 2Dr, big engine...390? Manual tranny. We called the color Candy Apple red. He bought it new for about $1900 I think. It had a shifter on the column, but there was some problem with the linkage, so he put a cool shifter on the floor. As a kid, I thought that was the coolest car ever, from bumper to bumper. He sold it when I was about 14 or 15, before I could drive it. Probably a good thing, I would have squealed tires and done all sorts of stupid things with it. Wise dad. |
