Have the car looked at by a qualified A/C technician to make sure it's the compressor and not the coil and/or clutch.
Once an A/C compressor fails, the entire A/C system MUST be flushed/decontaminated before a replacement is installed, otherwise it WILL fail. I would have the compressor installed at a reliable shop because that's where flushing can be done.
No need to remove the lower rad hose. Raise the front end of the car a bit. Undo the bolts holding the compressor and remove the compressor from under the car. You may also need a new coil and/or clutch.
