Default Fuel Economy Not So Bad

Just got home to SoCalif from near Chicago. Overloaded 2002 cargo Windstar towing 500 lb trailer yielded 22 mpg. The van has near 150K miles, the used tow package tranny has 70K.

The check engine light was on the whole time - lean both banks at the start; I'll check for more.

Tire pressure warning engaged a couple of times. First time it lit, I checked pressures, and they were all normal. After that I checked tire temperatures at every stop with an IR thermometer. Saw up to 144 degrees on the tread when the outside temp was over 100. All temps were close to same, even the little 8" trailer tires.

Anybody wanna' buy it? I'll replace the windshield, and try to suck out the hail dents with dry ice.

I want an '02-3 SE or SEL.
