Mine also doesn't shut off (overdrive always kicks in), im fairly sure this switch has only one wire (grounding process to switch it on/off) i haven't looked at mine yet to verify but it also mite be that the wire i see has something to do with the light n the switch...

But my plan is to dismantle the shifthandle top part to see exactly whats inside and if maybe the switch its self is broken or dirty, i dont know if this switch has a fuse in it or in line so....its a start...
