 I think I have a EGR problem or just a bigger problem
Ok, here is the problem that I have found myself in.
I have a 01 Ford Escape V6
About 3 weeks ago my check coolant light came on so I check my coolant and it was fine. So I looked around and noticed my oil filter wasn’t all the way tightened. I had just changed oil the night before. I thought nothing of it. Well a few days later the light started coming back on after about 15 minutes of driving then sometimes go back off. There has always been plenty of coolant in the reservoir and my temp gauge never read abnormal.
Coming home Friday from work my airbag light started coming on then flashing, so Im figuring Im about to get a airbag in the face. Anyhow I was running down the interstate about 75 and I just lost power. The car didn’t die as long as I kept my foot off the gas it was still trying to idol. Got it towed home and started brainstorming. Only thing I know is I can start it , it idols roughly and if I give it any gas the rpm drop to 0 and dies.
