Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. I have a 2000 Ford Foucs SE with 27800 miles. The other day while driving home it just started overheating, and the gauge hit red. The gauge only rises when I was stopped at a red light or stop sign. So I immediately pulled it over. I lift up the hood and the coolant is spewing from the hose at the front of the hood and leaked all out. From what I can tell, everything is intact except for a little occasional drip from that same hose under the clamp. I took it to the shop and they couldn't find anything major wrong from just checking under the hood. They said replace the hose and I might need to replace that plastic hose the radiator hose is attached to. I can drive it to work in the morning with no problem, but coming home is when it overheats.
Anyone have any idea of whats wrong and if its something I can fix on my own, or something major? I'm taking it to the dealer on Thurdsday, but I want to have an idea of whats wrong before I get charged up. Thanx.
Oh, my A/C doesn't work....fan blows on 4, but not 1-3. I heard thats the blower motor resistor so I'm getting that today. |
