Default Changed Tranmission fluid ... Now car shakes!

Hey Guys I am just wondering if you can help me out. My transmission was due for a fluid change. Even though it was a pain to do it at home I managed to get it done. I put in 5 liters of fluid and realized it takes way more than that. The problem is that now the car seems to shake when trying to shift into higher gears. It seems fine in the city but when I got onto the highway it started shaking like crazy. The only way to prevent the shaking was to take the O/D off and then back on but it still shakes when accelerating to pass another car.
So my question is .... WHAT DID I SCREW UP!?

Thanks
