Start with the simple things first.

Take the connector off of the window motor and read the voltage across the two pins. You should get a plus 12VDC or minus 12VDC when ever you push either the up or down button. If you do, the problem is with the motor.

Get a Haynes manual or something to see a diagram if you don't get the voltage you expect.
