Cool power steering pump problems

I have a 2000 ford taurus with 3.0 12 valve motor I removed the motor and installed the new one. I ran the motor and turning the steering wheel. when I cut the motor off I have steering fiuld coming out of the vent on the power steering pump. I jack the car up and with motor off I turn the steering wheel many many many times lock to lock Run the motor steering fiuld comes out of the vent after I cut the car off. What am I doing wrong
