Don't know if anyone has responded to you yet...I own 2 ford probes, both of them had bad MAF sensors. I bought a new sensor($160) for one of the probes and the decided to clean the other one. You take the top 4 screws out of the MAF and pull the sensor out. There will be two little heat elements suspended by metal bars. Shoot these with some Carburetor Choke Cleaner and re-assemble the MAF. It fixed both of my bad MAF sensors!!! The small heat elements were just dirty! If it doesn't work, then the MAF heat elements are probably damaged and you will have to buy a new one, but if it does work you just saved yourself some money! Hope this helps. |
