 Ford Taurus Gas Mileage
I've been trying to find out what kind of MPG I
should be getting from my Ford Taurus,and your
post is the first one that grabbed my
attention.
A couple months ago I bought a 2007 Ford Taurus
SE. When I drove off the lot,the MPG readout
was 23.0; I was disappointed with that.
But wait: the first time I filled up completely
I decided to keep track of the MPG. The readout
varied between 16.7 and 17.0! My manual
tracking was about 16.8 MPG.
This triggers a question in my mind: is it
possible for the dealer to "rig" the MPG
readout to display a "higher-than-true" MPG?
I'm glad for you,rambling man,but it seems the
later models have poorer fuel economy. |
