My little sister has a 93 tempo 3 speed automatic. It has over 200,000 miles on it, so I can tell you that if you take care of it, It will last.
And at 55 mph, It's around 3000 rpm's.... since it has no 4th gear it screams going above 60mph.. It's probably the best city car iv'e seen in a long time though, I believe it has a 1.4L (or something close to that) 4-cylinder, It gets GREAT mpg in the city.
And I agree, for that price, I would definitely buy it.
