Default 2005 Explorer "Service Engine Soon" Light

The "Service Engine Soon" light came on yesterday - and the fuel gauge momentarily stopped registering. My Explorer is a 2005 XLT 2wd with the 6 cyl flexfuel engine. I have just under 20k on the truck, and it has been impeccably maintained. It still runs perfectly, but the SES light will not turn off. Anyone have an answer? Thanks!
