I know this is an old thread, but still an ongoing problem for some. So I thought I'd share my experience,Although it was a different vehicle. Same problems,would loose all power etc. and die if I wasn't goin very fast. Looked at it myself forever....nothin, took it to the dealer and although they couldn't replicate or find a problem they told me it was the brain "ecm". Well after months and months of this problem to the point of just letting the car sit, one day while I was looking at it again, while I had it running I grabbed a battery post and pulled,twisted and basically tried to bend it and that's when it killed the car.
A bad battery all along! It was broke inside or something? Replaced the battery and never had another problem. Now surely this is not everybody's problem but it couldn't hurt to check!
