Default 96 Ford Escort Fuel Problem

Hi,

I have a 1996 Ford Escort 1.9L Standard tranny.

My problem is that I accidently touched a positive wire to the air conditioning sensor and then when i turned the switch on the green relay beside the computer made buzzing noise. I changed that relay but the new one still made that sound. If i manually activiate the relay i get power to the fuel pump, but otherwise there is no power to the fuel pump.

Could i have broken the computer ???

Thanks.
