Default 1989 Crown vic need tranny help

hello i have a 1989 ford crown vic police interceptor and it has the 5.8l 351W
it has now the ford AOD for a transmission and i was looking for some help with that .... i want to do a 5 speed conversion on it but i got a lot of diffrent ideas from the local gearheads. so now im looking for some help online ...... ok some people told me to go get and rebuild a C-4tranny ....and others told me to get a T-5 tranny. now putting it in and making all the changes for the clutch is not a problem i can do that i just need to know what tranny i can get that is a 5-speed ford tranny that will bolt up to my motor ..thanks for all the help
