Default 89 Probe - Replace Antenna

I have an 89 Probe with a power antenna. It broke many years ago and so I simply disconnected the motor, and held up the mast using a coat hanger (lol). But I was thinking of replacing it with a typical non-powered mast.

1) How the heck do you disassemble the antenna? How does the boot that holds the antenna to the car frame come off?
2) Then I'll need to make the electrical connection. Will this be obvious?

Thanks for your help.
