I have had a similar problem. I own a 2000 and as I am driving I have noticed that the RPM gauge jumps up and down and then it gets a jerky motion to it and then I noticed the theft light come on and then the entire engine shuts off. I honestly dont know where to begin. I have heard that there might be a problem with the coil packs, or the computer, fuel pressure, or fuel filter. I was just on my way to a hobby shop to get a diagnostic done on it but now I cant even get it to start. If you can figure it out let me know. email me at
