Default Dual Mode
On the rear console there is a button that has a picture of a speaker/headphones ... pushing that button once will put activate "dual-mode" then you find some headphones for your kids and the front 2 speakers will play the radio.

you can also have your kids listen to the radio while you play a cd, etc.
