Default High Pitched Whistle Noise 2004 Freestars

Hope this helps all of you frustrated 2004 Freestar Van owners. There is "TBS" bulletin on these vans. The bulletin is not rated as a recall, just yet...however, it should be a recall.
Go to AutoWeb.com and put in all the data in for recalls. You will see a notice for the Wheels Cap/cover/hub.
I just had to have my wheel bearings/hubs replaced by a Ford dealer due to this high pitched whistle sound. I already had my rotors and front brake pads replaced, due to over-heated pads. Most likely, the pads were over-heated and cracked due to this problem. I did have the "CPS" warranty, therefore, I only had to pay $100.00 deductible. The whistle sound is gone...hopes this helps you if you are having this problem.
