Thanks for the detailed post Dude, great photos and write up. I am a forum newbie and not an experienced mech so this kinda stuff goes yards. I paid a guy $270 to "clean the EGR ports" my F150 4.2L (caused a real rough idle at 1500 to 2200 rpm only). Did you have a rough idle to go along with this problem?
