Default 2000 Expy In dash Cup holder question

Hello,

The spring behind my in dash cup holder dropped out. The parts guy at the local dealer told me the 2 plastic tabs broke and I will need to replace the entire cup unit for like $90. Seems high to me but what can you expect from the Stealer. The question I have is how to you get the cup holder to release from the dash. I want to release it and try reattaching the spring myself before I spend around $100 for a cup holder that is hidden from view most of the time. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.
