Default hi all! my new bird has an issue

hi all, im new here. i've been around fords all my life, mostly mustangs and my current DD a focus.

i just purchased a 1996 4.6L thunderbird, and i cant wait to pick it up. i have to wait a week however, as its a state away and i have work all week. the car has 158k miles on it, and looks very clean. it does have a slight problem that i was aware of when buying......it has a cracked intake manifold. now i know with the mustangs its a composite manifold on the 4.6, im guessing the same is true for the 4.6 in the t-bird?

my questions are- was there any recall about this on the car? which new intake mani would you all suggest buying for it? and are there any other problems you are aware of with a high mileage bird?

thanks all!
